Flat die pellet making machine
Flat die pellet mill
If you have a lot of agricultural waste or wood matter lying around your farm, it is the high time to put that waste into good use. Flat die pellet mill is the machine used for small scale pellet production, which can help you process the waste into feed pellets for your poultry and biomass pellets for burning. It is driven by diesel, so you can operate it in situations where electricity cost is high or where electricity has not yet made its way. You don’t really have to worry about electricity. This is why small scale pellet producers prefer these types of pellet mills.
Features of flat die pellet making machine
1. Simple structure, wide application, little space needed.
2. For making powdery feedstuff like grass powder, you need not to add extra liquid.
3. Animal feed pellets processed by this pellet machine have smooth surface, not easy to break and highly cooked.
4. Suitable for different feedstock.
5. The pellet mill rollers made of high alloy steel which prolongs use life.

Attention on rollers & flat dies
1.The simplest flat die pellet mill has one pair of rollers. The rollers should be made of high alloy steel which ensures long service life.
2. There is one flat die for pellet making machine. You should notice three aspects: hole depth, hole pitch and hole width.Hole depth is illustrated by the letter L. The deeper the die hole, the longer time the material is exposed to heat and pressure. With more heat and pressure the lignin melts better and a harder denser pellet is formed.Hole pitch is illustrated by the letter I. The pitch angle of the hole influences pellet compression and some dies have specific angles for certain materials.Hole width: different dies have different sized holes. For fuel pellets the most common sizes are either 6mm or 8mm. With a larger diameter hole there is less friction and resistance during the pellet process. This can lead to increased productivity;however it can also have a negative affect on pellet quality.
